Description
Fraxinus excelsior, Oleaceae family
Great Ash, Common Ash, Cinchona of Europe, Bird's tongue.
Early twentieth century doctors’ testimonies speak of the exceptional longevity enjoyed Ash tea drinkers. Traditionally used as a diuretic, for joint pain and more generally to detoxify the body. The young leaves, harvested in June, contain polyphenols, mannitol, potassium salts and mucilages.

Preparation
10 to 20 g (1 handful) per litre of water, infuse for 10 min. Drink between 1/2 litre to 1 litre per day for 10 days every month.
Properties and beneficial combinations
- for smoother joints: mix with Blackcurrant and Meadowsweet, 5 g (1 tsp) of each plant per cup. Drink 3 cups per day. Do not use Meadowsweet if you are allergic to salicylates. Perfect when used in conjunction with our Arthro'arôm Rheumatic Complex.
- for lighter legs: mixed with Red Vine and Cherry Tails, 5 g (1 tsp or pinch) of each plant per cup. Drink 3 cups per day. Also massage the legs upwards with the Aromatic Circulatory System Complex.
