Considered a cure for just about everything since its virtues are so extensive, infusions of the Lavender flowers are traditionally used for harmony and balance, to soothe nerves and calm anxiety, to promote the onset of sleep and digestion, to regulate the heart rate (great for hypertension). Its antiseptic properties are notable with regards to the respiratory tract especially (asthma, cough, bronchitis) and for most digestive conditions. Excellent healing properties when applied as a compress on burns and wounds
Lavender contains phenolic acids, terpene alcohols, linalool, geraniol, tannins, esters, oxides, ketones and aldehydes. Different varieties of Lavender give rise to substantially different essential oils.

Preparation
2 grams (a large pinch or 1 tsp) per cup, brew for 5 min. Drink 1 cup after evening meals or at any other time of the day.
Properties and beneficial combinations
- for harmony and balance: try adding two Linden flowers to your Lavender infusion and spray your pillow with Lavender.
- to aid digestion: infuse for 10 min with 5 chamomile flowers, drink after meals or in cases of intestinal spasms.
Do not administer to pregnant or breastfeeding woman.
